Sybil Marie Cockrell

Sybil Marie Cockrell of New Boston, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital.  She was 95.

Sybil was born December 18, 1924 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Louis and Lizzie Jane May.  She was a retired food preparer and cook for New Boston ISD and was a member of Tapp United Methodist Church in New Boston, Texas where she was involved in United Methodist Women's Group. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sidney Doc Cockrell; three brothers; six sisters; and one granddaughter, Cindy Marie Carr.

She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Glenda and George Leon Carr of New Boston, Texas and Lori Clark of New Boston, Texas; one son, Larry Cockrell of Texarkana, Texas; six grandchildren, Christopher Clark, Adam Clark, Christian Tribadeau, Ashton Doc Cockrell, Hannah Rose Cockrell, and Abigail Rose Cockrell; and numerous other family members and friends. 

A private family graveside service will be Saturday, October 24, 2020.

A come and go visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Tapp United Methodist Church in New Boston, Texas.  The family asks that  all Covid-19 restrictions be followed and masks must be worn.
