JOHN SOLON KING V

John Solon King V, age 23, first lit up this world on Saturday, November 21, 1998, but that light was dimmed on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Left devastated and heartbroken by the loss of “John Wayne” as he was affectionately known, are his father, Jacob King and Ashley; his mother, Tammy “Puddin” King, brother, Jake King and his children, Nicole, and Kade; half-siblings, Justus and Ella King ; step-brothers, Haden McClanahan, and Zane Kelsoe, Grandparents, Solon and Pam King, Randy and Lisa Franks and Kathy Wisener; and his idolized uncle, Scott and beloved aunt, Niki; his cherished cousins, Karlie King, Layne King and wife, Katie; and their daughters, Wylie Kate and Copelynn Jo Bird; his dear aunt Solya King and her treasured daughter, Erica; his uncle Brice Franks and Brooke; cousin, Justin Franks and his children Garrett and Gunner; cousin, Colter Franks and wife, Brittney, their children, Blake, Tatum and Rhett; his dog Rico and the great majority of Red River County.

John Wayne passed to the other side with his precious friend, Sammy Stringer and there they were met by John Wayne’s aunt, Marla King, uncle, Tim Franks and his chosen brothers, Boo McElyea, Pryce Coughran, Tut Fletcher and Luke Earley.

John Wayne was a loyal friend to everybody, admired by so many younger guys and wanted by so many girls. He was rarely without a smile or that smirk and the boy never sat still. He lived his days to the absolute fullest. About the only things he took seriously was a good domino game and accomplishing his dream of owning his own cattle truck. Following in the footsteps of his daddy, who he admired so much. There is no healing the heartbreak left by his passing, and the impact he had on every person here today, speaks to the character of his sweet soul.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the “RR” Cowboy Church with Wade White and Tracy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the church.
