Joe Mac Davis, 68, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at a his home in De Kalb, Texas.

Joe Mac was born January 25, 1951 in New Boston, Texas to Olney A. and Hazel Taylor Davis.  He was a retired Finance Office Manager for NE Texas Construction and served in the United States Army Reserves.  Joe Mac was a member of First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mike Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Davis of De Kalb, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Allen Matteson; two grandchildren, Abbi Matteson and Walker Matteson; one sister, Suzanne Davis of Arkansas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bennie and Laura Davis of San Antonio, Texas and Jerry and Carol Beth Davis of New Boston, Texas; one special niece, Denise McDaniel; and numerous other family members and friends.  

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. James Sparks officiating.  Interment will be at New Hope Community Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas. 

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas.

Memorials may be made to De Kalb First Baptist Church, 204 W. Fulton St., De Kalb, TX 75559.
