James Floyd Giddens

 

James Floyd Giddens of De Kalb, Texas passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital.  He was 65.

James was born October 23, 1955 in De Kalb, Texas to Myron and Olena Dockins Giddens.  He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Bowie County Precinct 3 and attended Beaver Dam Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Verna Moore, Verdell Neal, Robert Lee Giddens, Leroy Giddens, and two infant brothers.

He is survived by his life partner, Debra Rachel of De Kalb, Texas; one son, James Bernard Giddens of Longview, Texas; one daughter, Kimberly Nicole Giddens of New Boston, Texas; four brothers, Charlie Giddens (Shirley) of Harris, Oklahoma, Donnie Ray Giddens (Johnnie May) of De Kalb, Texas, Eddie Joe Giddens of De Kalb, Texas, and Robert Giddens (Patsy) of English, Texas; three sisters, Alice Jean Giddens of De Kalb, Texas, Regina Carol Woods (Roger) of Harris, Oklahoma, and Barbara Ann Johnson of De Kalb, Texas; one grandchild; one special aunt, Geraldine Giddens; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members; and friends. 

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Shiloh Cemetery in English, Texas under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas. 

Mr. Giddens will lie in state from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
