Izeal Richardson Carroll Murdoch of Houston Texas passed on June 19, 2019 at the age of 99.
She was born in DeKalb, Texas on September 19, 1919.
She graduated from Texas A & M at Commerce, TX (formerly East Texas State Teachers College), in 1941.
She married Chester O. Carroll, the love of her life, on October 19, 1946. He passed in May, 1975.
She then married Fred T. Murdoch in 1988. He passed in 2004.
She was a career elementary school teacher. Her last position of 21 years, was as a 4th grade teacher at Cloverleaf Elementary school, in Galena Park ISD, Houston, Texas.
She was a member of Texas State Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, Beta Sigma Phi, Uvalde Baptist Church, and many other organizations.
She had a true love for all children and a passion for travel, which she did extensively after her retirement in 1985.
She is survived by daughter Sharon K. Wright and son-in-law Joe W. Wright III, and by son-in-law Ruben Perez. Also, by granddaughters Kimberly Carroll Barfield Farquhar and husband Kevin, and Kelly Rachelle Barfield Ferris and husband William. She also has 6 great grand children, Ashley Rachelle Ferris, William Aaron Ferris, Michael Hal Ferris, Kira Grace Ferris, Zachary Orion Ferris and Kaitlyn Carroll Byars.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands, and her son, Chester Hall Carroll who passed in 2017.
