DEAN McMILLAN
Derral Dean McMillan, 80, of Mesquite, Texas passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 in a Dallas, Texas hospital.
Dean was born December 11, 1938 in De Kalb, Texas to Warren and Lillie Griffis McMillan. He retired from Nabisco after 27 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, Sunnyvale, Texas. He was a National Guard and US Army Reserve Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sandra Taylor McMillan; a son, Kyle Dean McMillan; and his nephew, Gregory Floyd McMillan.
He is survived by his wife, Gracie Lee Bowen McMillan of Mesquite, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Eric Camp of Wylie, Texas and Lana and David Barnett of Garland, Texas; three step-daughters and their spouses: Debbie and Jim Dickens of Mesquite, Texas, Karla and Greg Crow of Forney, Texas and Cindy and Don Briscoe of Heath, Texas; a bother and sister-in-law: Floyd and Ida Mae McMillan of De Kalb, Texas; a niece and her husband: Tina and Keith Wheeler of Rockwall, Texas; two grandchildren: Heather and Larry Wade II and Sarah Lindsey; four great grandchildren: Taylor Songer, Keaton Lindsey, Larry Wade III and Marshall Dean Wade; 6 Step grandchildren; 11 Step great grandchildren and 1 step great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services were 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Bro. Dyrle Phillips officiating. Interment followed in New Hope Cemetery, SW of De Kalb, Texas under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
Visitation was 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
