BOBBIE NEWKIRK

Bobbie Newkirk of De Kalb, Texas passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at a New Boston care facility. She was 93. Bobbie was born April 11, 1929 in De Kalb, Texas to Claude and Mamie Rankin Lawler. She was a local business owner of “Factory Outlet” Dress Shop and Western Auto in De Kalb, Texas. She was a member of Pinkham Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, W.F. “Sonny” Newkirk.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Janell and Jerry Browning of Texarkana, Texas; three sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Marsha Newkirk of De Kalb, Texas, Mike and Camile Newkirk of De Kalb, Texas, and Wade and Sherry Newkirk of Texarkana, Texas; five grandchildren, Heather Daniel and her husband, Scott of De Kalb, Texas, Cody Newkirk and Sally of De Kalb, Texas, Tye Easterly and husband, Brandon of Comfort, Texas, Seth Newkirk and his wife, Megan of Dallas, Texas, and Payden Newkirk of Menard, Texas; six great grandchildren, Jordan Daniel, Luke Daniel, Sloan Easterly, Sunny Newkirk, Chloe Newkirk, and Reed Newkirk; one great-great grandchild, Aspen Blake; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services were held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Bro. Roddy Jackson officiating. Interment followed at Springhill Cemetery.

Visitation was held 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
