Challengers win three of four seats in New Boston race
City council election results are now in.
In New Boston:
Rob Carr has defeated incumbent Joe Dike for the Place 1 seat.
Carr received a total of 558 votes to Dike’s 276.
In Place 2, challenger Sue Anderson defeated incumbent Bill Eggenburger by a count of 539 to 276.
Incumbent Jackie Laney held his Place 4 seat, defeating Charles Patton by a vote of 425 to 383.In Place 5, Neilan Hensley unseated incumbent Richard Ellis by a vote of 444 to 385.
In DeKalb, incumbent Lowell Walker narrowly defeated challenger Thomas Culpepper. Vote totals were 82 for Walker, 73 for Culpepper and 7 for Connie Cooper.
