Shots fired at New Boston business overnight
An investigation is underway this morning in New Boston, after eight shots were fired into the roof of the office of Joe and Darla Dike.
The office building, located at the corner of Hoskins and Center in New Boston, is also the home of the Bowie County Citizens Tribune, and is being used as a temporary residence by the Dikes.
Both Joe and Darla were inside the building when the shots were fired.
Dike told the Tribune this morning that he had received threatening texts and a phone call last night, and believe those, and the shots fired into the building were a response to posts on social media.
Officers with the New Boston Police Department are currently reviewing security camera footage from last night.
This is an ongoing story.
