New Boston, TX (November 8, 2017) New Boston sophomore quarterback Tyler Strain was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Lions’ 44-32 win over Sabine Friday night.

On the night, Strain torched the Cardinals’ defense throwing for 376 yards and five touchdowns, on 14-24 passing in the win.

The Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week is presented to the player who most exemplifies competition, teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship for his high school team each Friday night.

For week 10, that player is New Boston’s Tyler Strain.

“Vyve is very proud of the high school football programs in the communities we serve,” said Diane Quennoz, Vyve SVP, Marketing and Customer Experience. “And we are equally proud of New Boston’s Tyler Strain as this week’s Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week.”
