Kenneth Raymond Mitchell
Kenneth Raymond Mitchell passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at his home in Simms, Texas. He was 78.
Kenneth was born August 25, 1938, in Enid, Oklahoma to Jesse Lee and Gladys Ora Park Mitchell. He was a Teamster and a member of the Siloam Baptist Church in Simms, Texas. Kenneth was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in the Marine Corps National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Michael Raymond Mitchell and Garret Lee Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife, Marika Mitchell of Simms, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and David Schmitt of Barstow, California and Joyce and José Yulo of Pleasanton, California; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Bob Culton of Chino Valley, Arizona and Sand and George Shamblin of Carlsborg, Washington; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Debi Mitchell of Orange, California; one cousin R.L. Park and his wife Carol of Dominguez, California; two grandsons Butch Schmitt and his wife Eve of Ontario, California and Jake Yulo of Walla Walla, Washington; two granddaughters, Tawney Armantrout and her husband Jeff of Redlands, California and Ariadne Yulo Suruy and her husband Noé of Oakland, California; three great grandchildren, Brooke Schmitt, Jane Armantrout and Emmitt Schmitt all of California; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 17, 2017 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Bro. Roy Ford and Robby Bates officiating.
