The Avery Lady Bulldogs chewed up the visiting Paris Chisum Lady Mustangs on Friday, by a final score of 5-2.
Starting pitcher Jill Whitney (pictured) earned the win on the hill with 17 strikeouts in six plus innings of work, allowing just six hits, as Quinn Lipe handled the catching duties behind the plate.
Whitney also had a great day with the bat, leading the Lady Bulldogs with a pair of hits and two runs batted in.
Also at the plate, Brianna Baird added a single and an RBI and Meagan Roberts and Brenna Brown each had a single in the game.
The Lady Bulldogs will return to the diamond this Friday at 5:30 p.m. as they travel to play in the Debra McMasters Tournament in Hope, Arkansas.
