The Hooks Lady Hornets rebounded in high style from their loss to New Boston on Friday, with a 6-0 shutout of the Queen City Lady Bulldogs last night. The win takes their district record to 3-1.

Hooks ace Marena Estell was near flawless on the mound allowing just two hits in a complete game of work.

At the plate, Estell was her own best friend with a pair of RBI’s in the contest and teammate Madison Whisenhunt also had a pair of runs batted in with her bat.

In all, the Lady Hornets rocked QC for nine hits as Estell, Kenley Kyles, Lexie Frachiseur and Sidney Pardue each had multi-hit performances.

The Lady Hornets will next challenge the 3-1 Redwater Lady Dragons at Hooks on Thursday. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
